We are very pleased to welcome another wonderful talent to our Green Wave counseling team.
Meleah Smith is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, receiving her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida State University.
Meleah previously worked with children and adolescents in the Juvenile Justice System to facilitate healing and growth, both individually and within the family unit. She is passionate about her work with children and adolescents and believes that providing them with useful tools and a safe space for emotional expression now, can be life changing for their future. We are also very excited to share that Meleah is currently pursuing certification in Play Therapy.
Meleah most recently worked with Active Duty Military members, in an inpatient setting, who suffered from combat trauma, sexual trauma, substance use/other addictions, depression, anxiety, partner relationship problems, stages of life adjustment, and more. Meleah specializes in trauma therapy and her trainings include Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In closing, we think that you will agree that Mrs. Meleah Smith is yet another wonderful addition to our Green Wave team to help those in need from the very young to the adult populations.
